Many of us take
alternative health supplements
such as vitamins and minerals. That being said are they harmful to our health or in fact worth it? Who needs

Why Take Supplements?
There are many good and bad reasons why you, a family member or friend may take supplements. If you do, know what you are taking, investigate their benefits and then

. Some of these may include: 1. A doctor, dietitian or registered nutritionist may have advised that this is a recommended course of action to take. 2. During pregnancy and breast feeding and other changes in life. 3. When you may lapse in your attempt to stick to a healthy diet. 4. You may suffer from Colic, liver or kidney disease which may hamper your body from absorbing certain foods and nutrition. 5. If you may be on a very special diet such as a vegetarian, vegan or dairy diet. 6. If we may not eat at least two portions of fish a week. We may all fall into this category from time to time. These may all be very good reasons however there are bad reasons for taking alternative health supplements too. These may include: 1. Thinking that only taking heaps of
vitamins
and minerals makes you healthier. 2. That you do not have a very good
healthy eating plan
